Bridges CEC's kitchen manager plans all weekly menus according to USDA Food Program Guidelines. Meals and snacks are prepared on-site daily, by kitchen staff, and delivered to classrooms to be served family-style.

We always serve:

  • Fresh fruits and vegetables whenever possible.  Frozen fruits and veggies when seasonal items are not readily available.  Canned fruits and vegetables as the last option. (We do NOT serve fruit that is canned in syrup, or juice of any kind.)
  • As much 100% whole grain as possible.
  • Skim and whole milk, depending upon the age group.
  • 100% real fruit jam.
  • Items low in fat, sugar and salt.
