  • Fresh fruits and vegetables are used as much as possible.
  • Fresh fruits and vegetables that are in season may be used as a substitute.
  • Frozen fruits and vegetables are used when fresh are not available.
  • Canned fruits and vegetables are used when fresh or frozen are not readily available. (Those canned in syrup are not used.)
  • 100% fruit jam is used.
  • 100% whole grain is used as much as possible.
  • All ingredients and foods are low fat, low sugar, and low sodium.
  • Cutting food small enough to prevent choking, is mandatory.
  • Grapes are considered a choking hazard and are not served.
